How long until my order ships?
Boards, cheese slicers and fan mounts are made to order and ship in 2–3 weeks. Order by December 1 for Christmas delivery.
Is shipping free?
Shipping is free within the United States. Board butter ships free with any other product. Butter-only orders ship for a flat $4.95.
Will my board look exactly like the photo?
Close, but not identical. Every piece is cut from real lumber, so the grain and color vary a little. That’s part of what makes each one yours.
Can I pick the wood or the size?
The Medium board and the turkey fan mount let you choose the wood on their pages. For a different size or wood combination, request a custom quote.
Which channel width do I need for the turkey fan mount?
The standard 3/4" channel fits most fans. If yours is thick at the base, choose 1", 1-1/4" or 1-1/2". Not sure? Measure the thickest part of the fan base and pick the next size up.
Can it go in the dishwasher?
No. Hand wash with warm, soapy water and dry it right away, standing on edge. Never soak it. Full instructions are on the Care page.
How often should I use board butter?
Whenever the wood looks dry or pale. Rub a small amount in, let it sit 15–20 minutes, and buff off the excess. Every kitchen piece comes with a free 2 oz tin.
What’s in the finish? Any allergy concerns?
Kitchen products are finished with 100% pure tung oil, fully cured before sale. Tung oil comes from the nut of the tung tree, and board butter contains coconut-derived oil. Customers with nut allergies should be aware.
Is this a good gift? Can you include a note?
Yes. At checkout there’s a spot for a gift note. I’ll include your note and leave the receipt out of the box.
What if it arrives damaged?
Email a photo to chris@wisconsincrafted.com within 7 days and I’ll replace it.
Can I return it?
Made-to-order items can be returned within 30 days if unused. Custom orders are final sale. Details are on the Shipping & returns page.
Is checkout secure?
Yes. Payment is handled by Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe and never touch this website.
